ジョン・ボン・ジョヴィはヘンリー王子と現地時間2月28日にアビイ・ロード・スタジオでチャリティ・シングルをレコーディングしている。

ヘンリー王子と妻のメーガン・マークルは王室メンバーからの引退を表明しており、このシングルのレコーディングは最後の公務の一つとなっている。

ジョン・ボン・ジョヴィとヘンリー王子はボン・ジョヴィが2019年に発表した“Unbroken”のカヴァーを傷痍軍人のスポーツ世界大会、インヴィクタス・ゲームズのためにレコーディングしている。

ヘンリー王子はこの日の映像をさらにインスタグラムに投稿しており、当日の様子を次のように説明している。

「ザ・ビートルズやその他の音楽レジェンドの本拠地であるアビイ・ロード・スタジオ内でレコーディングを行って、インヴィクタス・ゲームズ基金を援助するためにジョン・ボン・ジョヴィとインヴィクタス・ゲームズ合唱団と共演しました」

「やった曲はジョン・ボン・ジョヴィが退役軍人のPTSIの問題に光を当て、彼らの任務を讃え、軍のコミュニティの強さを伝えるために書いた“Unbroken”という曲です。ヘンリー王子もジョン・ボン・ジョヴィも軍のコミュニティの支持者であり、ヘンリー王子は2014年にインヴィクタス・ゲームズを立ち上げています」

Testing, testing?… • Recorded inside Abbey Road Studios, home to The Beatles and other music legends, The Duke of Sussex joins Jon Bon Jovi and the Invictus Games Choir for a special live session in aid of the Invictus Games Foundation. The song being played, called ‘Unbroken’, was created by Jon Bon Jovi to shine a spotlight on those veterans living with Post Traumatic Stress Injury (PTSI), to honour their service and acknowledge the strength of the Armed Forces community. The Duke and JBJ are both strong supporters of the military community, with The Duke founding the Invictus Games in 2014. The Invictus Games Choir, made up of wounded, injured and sick veterans and serving personnel from all services and different ranks of the UK Armed Forces, have come together to use the power of music to aid their recovery. Although The Duke was unable to sing, leaving the vocals to the professionals, the special single that was recorded in Studio 2 where The Beatles recorded 11 out of their 13 albums, and will be released in March in support of the @WeAreInvictusGames.
