デヴィッド・バーン、最新ツアーの初日にトーキング・ヘッズの“Psycho Killer”を19年ぶりに披露

デヴィッド・バーンは2025年のツアーをスタートさせ、19年ぶりにトーキング・ヘッズの“Psycho Killer”を演奏している。

デヴィッド・バーンは現地時間9月16日にピッツバーグで行われた公演からソロ・アルバム『フー・イズ・ザ・スカイ？』を引っ提げたツアーをスタートさせている。ライヴではソロの楽曲をはじめ、トーキング・ヘッズの楽曲、パラモアのカヴァーも披露されている。

しかし、最大のサプライズはライヴの終盤にトーキング・ヘッズの“Psycho Killer”を演奏したことで、この曲が演奏されたのは2006年以来となっている。

他にもデヴィッド・バーンはトーキング・ヘッズの楽曲から“Heaven”、“And She Was”、“Houses In Motion”、“Once in a Lifetime”、“Burning Down the House”といったナンバーを演奏している。ソロの新作からは“Everybody Laughs”、“What Is The Reason For It?”、“Don’t Be Like That”、“‘I Met The Buddha At A Downtown Party”、“My Apartment Is My Friend”といった楽曲が演奏されている。

また、デヴィッド・バーンはパラモアの“Hard Times”を初めてカヴァーしている。
