スレイヤー、マストドン、トリヴィアム、パンテラなど、99のメタル・バンドが協力してチャリティのためにカヴァー音源をレコーディングしている。
カヴァーされたのはメルヴィンズのカヴァーでよく知られている飲む時の定番曲“99 Bottles Of Beer On The Wall”となっている。
カヴァーはスカウアーのメンバーであるデレク・エンジェマンとジョン・ジャーヴィス、グルーサムのロビン・マゼンによの呼びかけによってザ・ブーズハウンズ名義で実現しており、99人のミュージシャンが1行ずつを歌い、23分の長さになっている。
このカヴァーは8月26日のインターナショナル・ドッグ・デーにリリースされており、曲の収益は年老いた犬の里親飼育を行うオールド・ドッグ・ヘイヴンに寄付される。
寄付を求めるゴーファンドミーのページも立ち上げられており、楽曲をバンドキャンプで購入することも可能となっている。
