ステレオラブはリイシュー企画の第2弾としてカタログ作品3作品が9月13日にリリースされることが決定している。
これは今年5月に『騒音的美学の終焉』(1993年)、『マーズ・オーディアック・クインテット』(1994年)がリリースされたのに続くもので、1996年にリリースされた代表作『エンペラー・トマト・ケチャップ』、1997年発表の『ドッツ・アンド・ループス』、1999年発表の『ミルキー・ナイト』の3作が全曲リマスター＋ボーナス音源を追加収録した「エクスパンデッド・エディション」で、前回同様アナログ、CD、デジタルでリリースされる。
今回の再発キャンペーンではメンバーのティム・ゲインが監修し、世界中のアーティストが信頼を置くカリックス・マスタリングのエンジニア、ボー・コンドレンによって、オリジナルテープから再マスタリングされた音源が収録されており、ボーナストラックとして、別バージョンやデモ音源、未発表ミックスなどが追加収録される。
国内流通盤CDには、解説書とオリジナル・ステッカーが封入され、初回生産限定アナログ盤は3枚組のクリア・ヴァイナル仕様となり、ポスターとティム・ゲイン本人によるライナーノートが封入される。また、スクラッチカードも同封されており、当選者には限定12インチがプレゼントされる。
『エンペラー・トマト・ケチャップ』の再発盤にボーナストラックとして収録される“Freestyle Dumpling”の音源も公開されている。
なお11月には『サウンド・ダスト』、 『マーガリン・エクリプス』がリリースされる予定となっている。
