ドリーム・シアターは最新作『ディスタンス・オーヴァー・タイム』のデラックス・コレクターズ・ボックス・セットの予約受付が本日2月25日18時よりワード・レコーズでスタートしている。
通算14枚目となる『ディスタンス・オーヴァー・タイム』は先週2月22日にリリースされている。
3月上旬より順次発送が予定されているデラックス・コレクターズ・ボックス・セットには、角度によってドクロの絵柄が変わるレンティキュラー・カバー・カード仕様、2CD+Blu-ray+DVDアートブック、2枚組アナログ盤、限定7インチに加えて、ポスターやアート・カード、スリップ・マット、ピン・バッジ、ワッペン、手書きシリアル・ナンバー入りCOA（実物証明書）といった品々が同梱される。
また、ワード・レコーズ・ダイレクトからの注文者対象で、ジョン・ペトルーシ直筆サイン入りLPサイズ フォトカードが抽選で当たるキャンペーンも実施されている。
新作についてギタリストのジョン・ペトルーシは「自分たちのルーツに戻って、もっと有機的なアルバムを作ること」を目指したと語っており、次のように続けている。「俺たちは自分たちの音楽のヘヴィでプログレッシヴ的な側面を取り戻して、プレイを心から楽しめる音楽を作るためにコラボレートしたんだ。今まで作ってきた中で最高のサウンドを持つドリーム・シアターの作品を作るのを目標にしてね」
