今夏のサマーソニックで来日することが発表されているペンタトニックスの紅一点のメンバー、カースティン・マルドナードがパリで婚約したことが明らかになっている。
お相手は、NBCの番組「ザ・シング・オフ」に参加していた恋人のジェレミー・マイケル・ルイスで、エッフェル塔を望むパリのドゥビリ橋でプロポーズしたという。

ペンタトニックスはサマーソニックでの来日を記念して、日本独自企画となるアルバム『ペンタトニックス(最強盤)』を7月27日に発売することが決定している。本作にはメーガン・トレイナーの楽曲をカヴァーした“NO”の他、この企画のために新録される「超スペシャルな楽曲」が1曲収録されるという。
