昨年2015年11月に15年振りとなる最新作『アローン・イン・ザ・ユニバース』をリリースしたジェフ・リンズELOが、4月5日にビートルズの故郷であるリバプールからツアーをスタートされている。
会場となったのは昨年ポール・マッカートニーも凱旋公演を行なったリバプール・エコー・アリーナで、新作からの楽曲とともに“Telephone Line”、“Mr. Blue Sky”、“Shine a Little Love”、“Don’t Bring Me Down”などの大ヒット曲や『オーロラの救世主』『アウト・オブ・ザ・ブルー』『ディスカヴァリー』などの名盤からの曲を惜しむことなく披露している。
この後、ロンドンのO2アリーナでの4公演を始め、英国、ヨーロッパを回り、6月26日にはグラストンベリー・フェスティバルにも出演し、その後全米ツアーが予定されている。
リバプール公演に合わせて新作『アローン・イン・ザ・ユニバース』より“Ain’t It a Drag”のミュージック・ビデオも公開されている。
