バックストリート・ボーイズは1999年に発表したアルバム『ミレニアム』の25周年を記念して、リニューアルしたアルバム『ミレニアム 2.0』を2025年7月11日にリリースすることを発表している。
アルバム『ミレニアム 2.0』は“I Want It That Way”、“The One”、“Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely”などリマスタリングされたオリジナル・トラックに加え、1999年から2000年にかけて行われたワールド・ツアー「イントゥ・ザ・ミレニアム・ツアー」のライヴ音源、様々な別ヴァージョンやデモ・トラック、そして未発表曲“Hey”を含む13曲ものボーナス・トラックが収録されている。
アルバムのリリース発表と共に未発表曲“Hey”の音源が公開されている。
このリリースを記念して7月11日よりラスベガスのザ・スフィアで連続公演を行うことも決定しており、『サタデー・ナイト・ライヴ』の50周年番組では“I Want It That Way”を披露している。
