U2は『アクトン・ベイビー』の30周年記念盤として特別なアナログ盤や大きなデジタル・ボックスセットをリリースすることを発表している。
通算7作目となるアルバムは1991年11月18日にリリースされており、限定とスタンダードのアナログ盤となる30周年記念盤は11月19日にリリースされる。
12月3日にはリミックスやB面曲など50曲を収録したデジタル・ボックスセットもリリースされる。そのうち22トラックはこれまでデジタルでは聴くことができなかった。

また、U2はベルリンを拠点とするフランス人アーティストのティエリー・ノアールと協力したインスタレーションを11月19日から26日までハンザ・スタジオで開催することが決定している。
U2は30年前にティエリー・ノアールに『アクトン・ベイビー』のアートワークで使用されたトラバントの絵を依頼している。インスタレーションでは新たに書かれたトラバントの絵やベルリンの壁の一部に書かれた壁画などが展示される。
