11月11日に27枚組のボックス・セット『The Early Years 1965-1972』をリリースするピンク・フロイドは、現地時間11月9日にロンドンにて、世界中から選ばれたファン50名を迎えて、ボックス発売記念のスペシャル・イベントを開催し、その模様がYouTubeで公開されている。

このイベントではボックス・セットに収録される映像作品の紹介映像が上映されたほか、メンバーのニック・メイソンが出席し、インタヴューに答えている。

イベントの模様はこちらから(ニック・メイソンの登場は50分頃から)。

合わせてボックス・セットより“Nothing Part 14”のミュージック・ビデオも公開されている。

また、来年2017年の結成50周年へ向けて、ピンク・フロイドの全オリジナル・アルバムをアナログで復刻する「アナログ復刻プロジェクト」の第2弾が11月9日に4タイトル発売されている。第2弾は1970年作品『原子心母』、1971年作品『おせっかい』、1972年作品『雲の影』、1994年作品『対(TSUI)』の4作品となっている。

第3弾は12月下旬のリリースが予定されており、『狂気』『炎~あなたがここにいてほしい』『アニマルズ』『ザ・ウォール』がリリースされる。以降のカタログも順次、継続的にアナログLPでリリースされることが決定している。

11月11日にリリースされる『The Early Years 1965-1972』は既に公表されている27枚に加えて、さらにもう一枚ボーナス・ディスクとして『LIVE AT POMPEII [2016 MIX]』が追加収録されることも発表されている。
